Bolívar In 1902, nearly a century after the death of Simón Bolívar, a Spanish businessman living in Havana paid tribute to the Hero in using his name for a brand of Habanos which is today one of the marks most in demand, especially in Great Britain. It is not surprising then that said cigars are made of leaves whose character symbolizes the brave personality of the Latin American hero.
