SearchHow do you spot a fake cigar !16th December 2005 if you buy from a good main street cigar store and not a corner shop or a shop up an alley way, the chances of you getting a fake are very slim. It is just the same if you were buying a Rolex watch, would you buy it if it was cheaper and from a guy on a street or a little shop on a side street..."NO" would be the answer. There is an old saying " if something is to good to be true" then it probably is. Cohiba is probably the most counterfeited cigar on the market also there is Cohiba being sold in the USA which is Dominican made and not Cuban made. Some people think if they hear Cohiba they think Cuban. The next point is the packaging and the way they are packaged. Look for flaws on the label, often they will not be all the same shade of colour. Even the cigars them self could be different, some might be light and some might be dark.
