CAO, one of the world’s foremost premium cigar manufacturers, announced today that it has been selected to provide cigars for the 11th Annual Critics’ Choice Awards Show, to be held on January 9 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.


Broadcast live by the WB Network, the Critics’ Choice Awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. This year’s nominees and invited guests include Russell Crowe, Reese Witherspoon, George Clooney, Charlize Theron, Joaquin Phoenix and a veritable who’s-who of Hollywood’s elite. No stranger to the backstage celebrity retreat and after-party circuit, CAO will provide an assortment of their award-winning cigars for invited guests and industry VIPs. A portion of the proceeds from the Critics’ Choice Awards Show is donated by the BFCA to assist the work of several charities including Make-A-Wish, Operation Rescue, and the Starlight Children’s Foundation.


In January 2005, CAO was selected for the second consecutive year as the official cigar of The People’s Choice Awards.
